Researchers to review biodiversity and pharmaceutical
Three researchers at Scripps organization of Oceanography will lead a cruise off Southern Ca beginning Oct. 27 to explore the biodiversity of deep ocean habitats which are full of minerals like phosphorus and manganese. Their objective would be to document the life span kinds inhabiting these unique environments and evaluate their prospective to yield chemical compounds with pharmaceutical potential.
The general public should be able to see just what the researchers see in realtime as soon as the researchers guide a remotely operated automobile since it explores the ocean flooring, gathering specimens of marine life and types of mineral-rich sediment and rock.
